What are Lagniappe Bags? Well, Lagniappe (lan yap) means a little something extra.
These are the ends of our logs...bars that are just a wee bit smaller than our regular bars of soap. So we put them aside until we have enough to make a few Lagniappe Bags. Lagniappe bags are a great way to try a variety of soaps.
We sometimes have left over soap batter, and rather than toss, we pour into some different molds to save for our Lagniappe Bags. And sometimes we have batches of soap that decide they don't want to cooperate, and we end up with...dare I say it...ugly soap. Yes, sadly it happens...and we will not tolerate ugly soap in our regular product line up. But that means you get the same great soap, at a fraction of the cost. Each Lagniappe Bag is over a pound of soap...can we say that's a good deal?
This time we had a batch of Courage and a batch of Christmas Memories that decided to geaux wonky, so we have several of these bags available. Please make a note in the comment section when ordering if you specifically want the Christmas Memories or the Courage, I will do my best to make sure you get the scents you want.
Sales Tax: Louisiana residents will be billed sales tax at the current rate on all retail sales.
Shipping Charges: The shopping cart will show the exact shipping fee when you check out. We reserve the right to ship via the carrier of our choice. These include USPS Priority Mail, Fed Ex Ground Service, and USPS Parcel Post. We reserve the right to bill for additional shipping thru PayPal, if actual shipping is higher.
No Orders Shipped Out Side of the USA. Orders shipped to Post Office Boxes will require a signature and possibly additional postage.
Shipping Lead Times: Most orders ship within 1 to 3 business days.
If for some reason there is a delay in shipping your order, you will be contacted.
Payment Options: The Purple Sage website does not process or store credit card data. All checkout processing is completed through PayPal which is our secure credit card processor of choice. Visa, Master Card and Pay Pal are accepted through our secure on-line shopping cart. Personal Checks for on-line purchases are due within 4 business days of placing your order. Products will be shipped when the funds clear our bank. After 4 business days the items will be returned to inventory if we have not received payment.

Discount Coupons: From time to time we use special discount codes. We regret, that if you fail to input the correct code or forget to input the code when you check out, that we are unable to make a correction.
Back Orders/Out of Stock: Please note that our shopping cart should prevent you from ordering an item that is out of stock. We all know that stuff happens and if it does you will be notified.
Store Pickup: While we encourage you to have your orders shipped, if you must pick up your orders we will need to make arrangements at a mutually convenient time and place. Minimum pickup orders are $30.00. When placing your order, choose Store Pickup, and pay as any other normal transaction. You also have the option to pay by checks or money-orders.
Returns: We Cannot Accept Returns. Due to the personal care aspect of our products, we cannot guarantee purity once items leave our facility. We are happy to answer any questions you may have before ordering to insure your satisfaction upon arrival of your package. If you have specific concerns about cosmetic ingredients, such as emulsifiers or preservatives please contact us before ordering. We’ll gladly accept the return of any *unsatisfactory product if received back in our offices within 10 daysof delivery in its original packaging. Once we receive your return we will issue you a store credit for the purchase price. Store credit is valid for 30 days. Note we do not offer credit back to your charge card. Your store credit will not include either the original shipping fees or your return shipping cost. *Unsatisfactory – Defined: Buyers remorse, I don’t like the scent or color etc. do not make the product unsatisfactory.
Your satisfaction with our product is very important to us. If there is a problem please call or e-mail us immediately.
Damage Claims: If a package is damaged externally upon arrival, please refuse delivery and notify us immediately. If an order is damaged internally only, please notify us within two (2) days of receipt of order to place a claim. All boxes, packaging materials, and product must remain intact and undisturbed in order to process a claim. The shipping carrier may need to inspect the damaged order, and/or you may need to return to The Purple Sage the damaged items. Failure to follow the procedures above will result in our having to deny your claim.

Incorrect Address: If an incorrect address/zip code or the order is rerouted from its original destination, the customer assumes any charge for the correction and agrees that The Purple Sage may charge this fee to their credit card. All orders will be sent to the address on the invoice generated by our shopping cart. Be sure that all the information is correct before completing the sale. Of course, if we make the error, we pay any fees.
