Start now…your skin will love you for it

Summer officially ends September 22, just a little over a month away..

For me…this is a sad day, being a beachy girl, or beach bummette, I love summer. Yes, even the heat.

I look for a silver lining to the heat, so I see the humidity as a wrinkle preventer.

We southern women don’t sweat, yall we glisten…sometimes A LOT. That’s just mother nature's way of making sure we have fewer wrinkles.

But as summer starts to fade away (along with my tan), sometimes we need to prepare our skin for the fall.

Ya know the cooler, drier air, and of course using the heaters, and very hot baths/showers…all tend to dry your skin out.

As summer comes to an end, I start to ramp up using lotion, lip balm and of course foot butter. I use all of this to combat the effects of dry skin.

But also, Balance soap, since it has amazing emu oil in there. Yall since using this soap, I don’t get that dry itchy, flaky skin. (Ya know what I’m talking about?)

Lotion for after that hot bath…just rub a little on your arms, legs and enjoy smooth skin.

Lip balm to keep you from licking those pretty lips. Did you know that licking lips causes them to dry out fast, which leads to chapped lips? And it only gets worse as the weather gets colder.

Foot butter always to the rescue for your tootsies.

Cracked heals can happen during the fall/winter especially if you are not drinking as much water for hydration. And, because your feet are tucked away in socks and shoes (or boots) after being “free” all summer.

I found that most people wait until their skin feels dry, their lips get chapped, and their feet are uncomfortable.

The key is to start NOW.

Yes, start your fall skincare routine now so that when the leaves start to change and the air turns cold…your skin will be ready!
