A Right of Passage šļøāāļø
Never in a million years would I have thought I would have these.Ā Ā
What am I talking about, you may ask? Ā
Iām talking about the beginnings of calluses. Ā
Iāve been working out consistently since February. (Itās one of my 2024 goals.)Ā
Iām on a 22-week streakā¦and I feel fabulous.Ā
I have fallen in love with weightlifting. I like cardio and other exercises, but weightlifting is what I love the most. Ā
So Iām 8 months into my new self-care routine. Ā
And itās become my new hobby.Ā
So itās a win-win.Ā
And Iām finding that weightlifting has brought a new level of skill and confidence for me.Ā
It has also brought about some changes on my handsā¦the beginning of calluses.Ā
At first I was a little upset, but then I realized itās a right of passage to acquire these calluses.
It hasnāt been easy, but Iāve chosen to make it fun. Some days, I just really donāt āfeelā like going (I bet you know that feeling too.) But I committed to myself, so I show up for myself. Ā
Iām learning and growing in a good way and Iāve lost a few pounds. Iām noticing my body composition has changed and continues to change. (LOL it takes muscle to make all those luxurious soaps for yall.)
I still need to dial my nutrition in, but Iām not stressing over thatā¦at least right now. Iām taking things one at a time.
So get real with meā¦what are you doing for YOU that makes you feel great?
