A Right of Passage 🏋️♀️

Never in a million years would I have thought I would have these.
What am I talking about, you may ask?
I’m talking about the beginnings of calluses.
I’ve been working out consistently since February. (It’s one of my 2024 goals.)
I’m on a 22-week streak…and I feel fabulous.
I have fallen in love with weightlifting. I like cardio and other exercises, but weightlifting is what I love the most.
So I’m 8 months into my new self-care routine.
And it’s become my new hobby.
So it’s a win-win.
And I’m finding that weightlifting has brought a new level of skill and confidence for me.
It has also brought about some changes on my hands…the beginning of calluses.
At first I was a little upset, but then I realized it’s a right of passage to acquire these calluses.
It hasn’t been easy, but I’ve chosen to make it fun. Some days, I just really don’t “feel” like going (I bet you know that feeling too.) But I committed to myself, so I show up for myself.
I’m learning and growing in a good way and I’ve lost a few pounds. I’m noticing my body composition has changed and continues to change. (LOL it takes muscle to make all those luxurious soaps for yall.)
I still need to dial my nutrition in, but I’m not stressing over that…at least right now. I’m taking things one at a time.
So get real with me…what are you doing for YOU that makes you feel great?
💪
